Network Adapter

Windows 2000

  1. On the Desktop, right-click My Network Places and then select Properties.

  2. Right-click the Web-ster Internet connection and then select Properties.

  3. Click the Networking tab.
    • The Type of dial-up server I am calling should be set to PPP: Windows95/98/NT4/2000, Internet.
    • Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) should be checked.
    • If available, File and Printer Sharing For Microsoft Networks should NOT be checked.
    • If available, Client for Microsoft Networks should NOT be checked.
  4. Click OK.

Windows XP

  1. Click the Start button and then point to My Network Places.
  2. Right-click My Network Places and then select Properties.

  3. Right-click the Web-ster Internet connection and then select Properties.

  4. Click the Networking tab.
    • The Type of dial-up server I am calling should be set to PPP: Windows 95/98/NT4/2000, Internet.
    • Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) should be checked.
    • If available, File and Printer Sharing For Microsoft Networks should NOT be checked.
    • If available, Client for Microsoft Networks should NOT be checked.

Windows 98

  1. On the Desktop, right-click Network Neighborhood and select Properties.

  2. Make sure Dial-Up Adapter appears in the list of installed network components, and then click OK.
