On the Desktop, right-click My Network Places and then select Properties.

Right-click the Web-ster Internet connection and then select Properties.

Click the Networking tab. The Type of dial-up server I am calling should be set to PPP:Windows 95/98/NT4/2000, Internet.

Put a check in the Internet Protocol box, and then select Properties.

Obtain an IP address automatically should be selected.

Obtain DNS server address automatically should be selected.
-
Click OK.

Click OK.
Windows XP
-
Click the Start button and then select My Network Places.
-
Right-click My Network Places and then select Properties.
-
Right-click the Web-ster Internet connection and then select Properties.

Click the Networking tab. The Type of dial-up server I am calling should be set to PPP:Windows 95/98/NT4/2000, Internet.

Click Internet Protocol TCP/IP and then select Properties.

Obtain an IP address automatically should be checked.

Obtain DNS server address automatically should be checked.

Click OK.

Windows 98
-
On the Desktop, right-click Network Neighborhood and then select Properties.
-
Select TCP/IP -> Dial-Up Adapter and then click the Properties button.
-
If a TCP/IP Properties Information window pops up, click OK.
-
Click the IP Address tab. Make sure Obtain an IP address automatically is selected.

Select the Gateway tab. There should be no items listed under Installed gateways. If there are any items displayed there, highlight the item(s) and then click Remove.

Click the DNS Configuration tab. Disable DNS should be selected.
OS X
-
In the upper left corner of the screen, click the Apple icon to open the Apple menu. Select System Preferences.

Under Internet & Network,select Network.
-
From the Show: menu, select Internal Modem.
-
Select TCP/IP.
-
From the Configure IPv4 menu, select PPP.
-
DNS Servers field should be blank.
-
Search Domains field should be blank.
-
To save your settings, close this window.

In the upper left corner of the screen, click the Apple icon to open the Apple menu.

Your TCP/IP panel should look like the following. Change your settings as necessary to match this display.
