Windows 2000

  1. On the Desktop, right-click My Network Places and then select Properties.
  2. Right-click Local Area Connection and then select Properties.
  3. If available, Client for Microsoft Networks should be checked.

Windows XP

  1. Click the Start button and then select My Network Places.
  2. Right-click My Network Places and then select Properties.
  3. Right-click Local Area Connection and then select Properties.
  4. If available from the General tab, Client for Microsoft Networks should be checked.

Windows 98

  1. On the Desktop, right-click Network Neighborhood and then select Properties.
  2. Client for Microsoft Networks should be displayed in the list of installed network components.
