On the Desktop, right-click My Network Places and then select Properties.

Right-click Local Area Connection and then select Properties.

The adapter properties should appear as displayed in the image below. Place a check in the box next to Internet Protocol (TCP/IP).

Click Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and then click the Properties button.

The Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) Properties window should look like the following:

Obtain an IP address automatically should be selected.

Obtain DNS server address automatically should be selected.
-
Click OK.

Click OK.
Windows XP
-
Click the Start button and select My Network Places.

Right-click My Network Places and then select Properties.
-
Right-click the Web-ster Internet connection and then select Properties.

Click the Networking tab.
-
The Networking tab should appear like the image below. Make sure there is a check in the box next to Internet Protocol (TCP/IP).
Click Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and then click the Properties button.

The Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) Properties window should look like the following:

Obtain an IP address automatically should be selected.

Obtain DNS server address automatically should be selected.

Click OK.

Click OK.
Windows 98
-
On the Desktop, right-click Network Neighborhood and then select Properties.

Click TCP/IP to highlight it, and then click the Properties button.

From the TCP/IP Properties window, click the IP Address tab. Make sure Obtain an IP address automatically is selected.

Click the Gateway tab. If items are listed under Installed gateways, click the items and then click theRemove button. Remove all items from under Installed gateways.

Click the DNS Configuration tab. Disable DNS should be selected.
OSX
-
In the top left-hand corner of the screen, click the Apple icon to open the Apple menu, and then choose System Preferences.

Under Internet & Network, choose Network.

In the Show: field, choose Internal modem, and then choose TCP/IP. Your TCP/IP settings should look like the following:

Configure IPv4: should be Using DHCP.

DNS Servers: should be blank.
-
Search Domains: should be blank.
-
To save the settings, close the window.
MacOS 8.6-9.2

In the top left-hand corner of the screen, click the Apple icon to open the Apple menu. Select Control Panels and then select TCP/IP.
