How to Set Up a Dial-Up Connetion for Macintosh OS 8.5 - 9.x

  1. Click the Apple menu.
  2. Select Control Panel.
  3. Click TCP/IP.

  4. From the Connect via: drop-down menu, select PPP.
  5. From the Configure: drop-down menu, select Using PPP Server.
  6. Close the TCP/IP window. If necessary, save your changes.
  7. Click the Apple menu.
  8. Select Control Panel.
  9. Mac OS 8.5 users: Click PPP. Mac OS 9.x users: Click Remote Access.

  10. In the Name field, enter your username (in all lowercase letters).
  11. In the Password field, enter your password.
  12. In the Number field, enter the Web-ster Dial-up phone number: 503-263-4593.
  13. Click Connect.
  14. The dial-up connection on your Macintosh should now be complete. Your connection status should appear as follows:
