Setting up for the first time

Setting Up Netscape Mail (7.x)

To set up Netscape Mail (7.x), follow these steps:

  1. Launch Netscape 7.
  2. From the Windows menu, select Mail & Newsgroups.
  3. Click the Email Account button and then click the Next button.
  4. Type the name you would like to appear in the From field of your outgoing messages. (Typically, you will want to enter an e-mail address or full name.) Type the name you wish to be sent with e-mails in the Your Name text field.
  5. In the Email Address field, enter your e-mail address and then click Next.
  6. In the Incoming Server and Outgoing Server fields, type mail.web-ster.com and then click Next.
  7. In the User Name field, type your e-mail address and then click Next.
  8. Enter a name you want to use to describe this e-mail account (for example, home account or work account), and then click Next.
  9. To complete the setup, click Finish.
  10. You will be asked to enter the password that Web-ster has provided you. If you want Netscape to remember the password (so you won't have to type it in each time), check the box.
